Chapter 6 & 7
Audrey Wood wrote the Book Silly Sally. An all-time favorite, Silly Sally comes to life for toddlers and it is a rhyming story of Silly Sally, who is joined by various animals as she travels to town--backwards and upside down.
AUDREY WOOD is the much-loved author of more than thirty books for children, including the bestselling The Napping House, Piggies, and Heckedy Peg. She lives in Hawaii.
I truly enjoy this book, and find it very fun and amusing. I brought this book, as a substitute teacher I read it to the students, and they enjoy it. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?r=1&ISBN=9780152000721&ourl=Silly%2DSally%2FAudrey%2DWood&cm_mmc=yahoossp-_-plp-_-books-_-Silly-Sally-9780152000721

The Rainbow Fish is an award-winning children's book drawn and written by Marcus Pfister, and translated into English by J. Alison James. The book is best known for its morals about the value of being an individual and for the distinctive shiny foil scales of the Rainbow Fish.
The story tells of a fish with shiny, multi-colored scales named Rainbow Fish. He is always fond of his scales. But one day, his small fish friend asks him if he could have one. Rainbow Fish refuses, since he thinks his scales belong to him alone. After this, he loses all of his fish friends, since he won't share.
Feeling upset, his only friend left, the starfish, tells him to go visit the mysterious octopus for advice. Rainbow Fish finds the octopus and asks what he should do. The octopus tells him that he should give his friends his scales, that way he can keep his friends.
When he encounters the small fish a second time, the Rainbow Fish gives him one of his precious scales, and is very soon surrounded by other fish requesting scales. Eventually, the Rainbow Fish has only one shiny scale left, but he is no longer vain. He spends his days playing happily with the other fish.
I love this book because it is a great example for children to learn how to share with others.

Chapter 6
In chapter 6 I learned about Traditional Literature, which are Traditional Stories. Traditional Stories are written form of a culture's oral tradition, mirror the values and mores of culture, preserve significant events, explore human consciousness, and entertain. I think it is very important to incorporate Traditional Literature in a classroom and as teacher; I need to consider literature for every young child.
Chapter 7
In chapter 7 I learned about picture books. Children's picture books are a short literary form, like a sonnet. I learn when introducing a picture book to your students need to be able to talking about the art, character education, writing models, parodies, teach literacy and students be able to do higher level thinking
